Captain fantastic Nathan Bowles reckons he has what it takes to win a pro contract, after nine years as a club captain.
Winger Nathan, 20, who lives on Watermead, Aylesbury, has entered Samsung’s Win A Pro Contract competition in the hope of signing for either Swindon Town, Leyton Orient or Wycombe Wanderers.
Nathan, who now plays for Wendover FC in the ADL Division 1, said:“My first club was Bucks CC who I joined at eight. I was with them until I was 17. During that time we won two cups and numerous league titles.
“That made me the most successful captain in the club’s history at youth level and I am very proud of that.
“Having performed consistently for so long, I am determined to go the distance and play at a higher level. My experience and leadership on the pitch will help me to win a pro contract.”
For the first time since Win A Pro Contract was launched in 2010, there are three professional contracts on offer as Wycombe Wanderers join Samsung’s existing partnerships with Swindon Town and Leyton Orient.
Amateur players of all abilities can enter the competition on Samsung’s {http://www.facebook.com/samsungfootball|Facebook|Take me there} page and this year three winners will earn one-year professional contracts at each club.
