Played over the Bank Holiday weekend, the Club Championship at Aylesbury Vale Golf Club attracted 110 entries, one of the largest fields in the club’s history.
After the first round Will Bond, one of the promising youngsters at the club, held the lead with a par round of 72. Meanwhile, father Andrew headed the net competition with 67.
In the second round, defending champion Bradley Finch shot a course record equalling 67 to post an aggregate gross score of 146.
Playing in the final group, Will held his game together with a score of 73 to win the trophy by one shot with an aggregate of 145.
The net champion was Nathan Chandler with a score of 138, beating Andrew Bond by one shot and denying a Bond family double.
