IT was a week of double delight for Thame United manager Mark West as he watched his team follow up Saturday’s 2-1 away win over Shrivenham with a strong 2-0 triumph against Abingdon on Tuesday night.
Against Shrivenham, Alex Stewart and Ben Connoley scored while against Abingdon Dan West and Mitchell Meredith were on target.
West said: “We got two good results and we deserved them as we played really well.
“Against Shrivenham we dominated in the first half and should have been up by more than 1-0 at half-time. We scored early after the break and it was quite comfortable.
“Abingdon was a good result as its always nice to win local derbies.
“There’s a good feeling around as well. People want to train and they want to play.”
United are unbeaten so far in 2012 and hope to continue that record against league high-fliers Slimbridge on Saturday who they beat 3-2 at home earlier in the season.
