A man caught driving in Longwick when high on Ketamine has been banned from driving for two years and electronically tagged.
Ian Field of Horton Avenue, Thame, was spotted by a police officer on his way to work who saw him driving erratically along Thame Road.
When the 25 year old was stopped by roads policing officers he failed a field impairment test and was found with Ketamine in his possession.
On arrest and testing, his blood was found to contain 0.37 milligrams per litre of Ketamine and 1.2 milligrams per litre of Norketamine.
The incident happened at around 7.10am on August 29, 2012.
Roads policing officer PC Kay Dickinson said: “Roads policing officers are trained to deal with drivers who are impaired by drugs and will deal with them robustly.
“If members of the public suspect anyone of driving while unfit through drink or drugs, they should contact the police immediately.”
Field was sentenced at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on August 12 for one count of driving while unfit through drugs and one count of being in possession of Class C controlled drug.
He will have to wear the tag until November 11 and was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £135.
