Aylesbury Rugby Club’s sevens won the Ivor Boas Plate after defeating Chinnor 21-19 in the Abingdon tournament.
The squad, led by captain Adam Moore and coached by Dave Larham, played five games losing once en route to lifting the trophy on Saturday.
A 12-5 loss to Witney in their second game was the only defeat but meant they still made the semi-finals after wins over Brize Norton and Henley.
Tries from Moore and Matt Fitchett gave the Ay’s a 14-5 win over McKinnon 7’s before a tight final against Chinnor.
As well as picking up the silverware and bottle of champagne the club also received £200 worth of vouchers from the store RAM Rugby.
