A Thame lawyer is part of a team preparing to swim the English Channel twice for charity.
Joe Middleton, a partner at Lightfoots Solicitors, will be one of four men trying to swim to France and back, around 52 miles, in 30 hours.
To make it even more challenging, the team will be swimming without wetsuits.
Known as the ‘Near Naked Men’, they hope sea temperatures will reach around 15°C.
The team are aiming to raise £15,000 for the Male Cancer Awareness Campaign.
Mr Middleton, 35, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the support and level of donations so far and that has been a huge factor in us maintaining focus and momentum in our training throughout the winter and spring.”
The other members of the team are Peter Frost, Simon Backer and Peter Maule.
They plan to do the swim on August 16 and 17.
