Winning a trophy is always a highlight but the annual No-BellTrophy at Weston Turville Golf Club has a bizarre past.
The trophy is one of those quirky awards that came about following a member ringing a warning bell with his golf club and breaking it into many pieces.
The remains of the bell were mounted and christened the No-Bell Trophy as it now fails to chime.
And so eight teams took to the fairways in a mixed texas scramble format.
The winning team of June Frankis, Julia Stroud, Nigel Woodbridge and Greg Waite upset the odds as they won with five birdies in a sparkling round finishing with a net 56.2.
They were last seen proudly holding aloft the remains of the bell.
