A Thame hair salon has done its bit to help people in the world’s poorest countries have access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation.
Brothers have supported Water Aid with a walk and collection at the Butter Market salon.
The team traversed along the Phoenix Trail with empty buckets in search of water, litter picking as they went, to highlight how far some people have to walk to get fresh water.
After a seven-mile walk they reached Princes Risborough where they filled their buckets from a pond before returning to Thame.
Brothers also put a ‘spend a penny’ donation bucket in their reception to encourage people to donate to the cause.
The salon managed to raise £1,676 and with the help of other arms of the chain in Oxford and Marlow collected a combined total of £4,112 for Water Aid.
