Police are searching for a patient who has gone missing from an Aylesbury mental health hospital today (Saturday).

Shane Grooby, 37, was reported missing by staff at Tindal Centre at 8.10am. He is white with patchy dark hair and a scar on the right hand side of his face. He was last seen wearing a black Nike t-shirt, blue Adidas jacket with white stripes and grey Adidas jogging trousers.

While most of his clothes are dishevelled, he is wearing clean white Adidas trainers.

Det Insp Russ Murden said: “Police are concerned for his welfare and believe he may visit the Bicester Road area of Aylesbury. There is a possibility he might travel to Milton Keynes or Thame, where he also has links.

“We would advise the public to contact police should they see Mr Grooby, however, for their own safety, not to approach him directly.”

If you have any information call contact Det Insp Murden via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.

If you don’t want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
