A little girl who had a hip operation has raised money for the children’s ward at John Radcliffe Hospital to say thanks.
Mabel Horn, aged nine, of Thame, was born with a hip condition and spent some time on the ward recovering from a hip operation last summer.
And now she has raised £180 and donated crafts to help other children with their recoveries.
Her mum, Lucy Horn, said: “She spent so much time when she was there doing the arty things.
“It really did take her mind of things.
“She thought she needed to give something back because she used so much of their stuff.”
The Round Table also donated an extra £200 in support of Mabel.
Mrs Horn added: “She’s had a really tough time.
“We’re really proud. She’s a little star.”
