The Thame and District Day Centre has thanked the town’s Round Table for a ‘brilliant’ donation.
The Round Table held a Christmas collection on December 9 and from this donated £885 to help the day centre.
Trustees and committee members of the centre expressed their gratitude for what one member said ‘demonstrates the support which local people and organisations give not only to the day centre but to other local causes and organisations’.
The day centre, an independent charity, which meets three days a week at Thame Community Hospital, is open for 50 weeks of the year.
It provides a day out with a hot meal, entertainments and refreshments for people from the town and some nearby areas who are elderly, frail or isolated. All donations received are spent on the services it provides to members.
