The Halton Everyball International Academy Indoor Tournament attracted record entries over the weekend.
There were a total of 327 players – with events for eight and under players up to 14 and under. In the youngest mixed event, several Halton players won through to the knockout stage, with Ethan Rose, Joshua Oakley, DJ Mentiply and Harry Shawyer making it through to the quarters.
DJ Mentiply lost in the semis to the eventual winner Sean Neveling.
The 12 and under girls semis featured Halton’s Alexandra Hildreth who lost to Danielle Daley (Middlesex) Essence Martins (Middlesex) won through the other semi and also took the final.
Halton’s Scarlett Hutchinson reached the Consolation Final where she had a close match but lost 6-4 6-3 to No.4 seed Kia Carvalho-Landell.
The 14 and under boys singles final was between local aces Jack Molloy (Halton) and Michael Shaw (MK) with Jack coming out on top 6-2, 6-4.
