An opticians treated customers to an eye test from Santa to raise cash for a five-year-old suffering from a rare muscle wasting disease.
Specsavers in High Street, Aylesbury, are pulling out all the stops for George Newman, his parents and his four siblings to enjoy a day at Legoland.
At the beginning of the year, George was diagnosed with the incurable disease, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Sufferers are not expected to survive beyond their early twenties.
Customers have the chance to win back the cost of their glasses in a raffle.
Store director Jude Edwards said: “We want to raise awareness about George’s disease as well as giving the family a fantastic day out.” Supporters raised £6,000 for an electric wheelchair earlier this year.
George’s mother Claire said: “We’ve been so blown away by the support. We’ve been so humbled.
“Doctors are close to finding cures, but need to raise more.”
