A chocolate surprise was delivered to the staff of a butcher’s shop as a thank you for its success promoting Thame’s loyalty card scheme.

Since the scheme launched in June last year, High Street butchers Newitt’s has consistently enrolled, on average, the most new loyalty card holders.

As a token of appreciation for their efforts, a box of hand-made chocolates from Rumsey’s Chocolaterie, which also participates in the scheme, was presented to Newitt’s staff.

Angie Newitt, from the butcher’s, said: “We are very happy to be taking part in the Thame loyalty card scheme, as it gives our customers an incentive to visit us more often, and attracts other Thame shoppers to take advantage of what we have to offer.”

The loyalty project is currently supported by around 30 Thame businesses. Its main aim is to make residents and visitors aware of the ‘quality, convenience and choice’ on their doorstep and to help keep a vibrant economy in the town, with special offers and promotions to get people coming back.
