A new tutorial school is to be opened on the outskirts of Aylesbury.
The Stone centre, due to be officially unveiled next month, is to be run by Maple Education, the only tutorial school in Aylesbury to offer tuition for ages six to 18 in a bespoke centre boasting brand new classrooms.
All Maple teachers are highly qualified and tuition is on an individual basis in small groups of four.
Canadian Michael Garnett, who owns it, said: “I have taught well over 2,000 children in Buckinghamshire in the past 22 years and I am now at an age where I am teaching children of my former students.”
Maple, which employs 16 people, is one of the few exam centres in Bucks offering a community service for pupils and adults who missed out on GCSEs and A-Level qualifications.
Whether they study privately, are in school or are home-schooled, candidates will be able to write most exams, from Maths to Hindi, at Maple.
As well as its teaching projects here, Maple supports education initiatives in Africa, helping children in Zimbabwe and Gambia.
