Former doctors at Stoke Mandeville Hospital have been accused of sexual abuse as the Jimmy Savile scandal continues to escalate.
One woman said her doctor sexually abused her regularly for four years from the age of 14.
She told the Daily Mail: “There is no doubt in my mind there was a sex abuse ring operating at Stoke Mandeville. It is no coincidence that this man was doing the same thing as Jimmy Savile.”
The woman, now 52, said he referred to her as his ‘special patient’ but that the doctor has now died.
A second woman said she was abused by a Stoke Mandeville consultant paediatrician.
Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust said: “We take these allegations very seriously and as and when new information emerges we will look into the matter and ensure anything of relevance is passed on to the police investigation.
“We are working closely with our staff and will support them in reporting to the police should they have any information related to any of the allegations.”
